OpenBorder opens for business

19 Aug 2011

The brainchild of a group of Wellingtonian bright sparks (including Alan Howard, who was the Head of Development at Trademe), OpenBorder is the world’s first truly global translation marketplace.

Currently the translation industry worldwide is extremely fragmented with language service suppliers struggling to successfully engage in the market and buyers being presented with limited options which are cost and time effective.

OpenBorder is radically changing this landscape by making the business of language services faster and more economical, buyers place a job on the site and professional translation providers from around the world bid for the work.

Globally the demand for translated content has skyrocketed as businesses expand into new foreign markets.  During the economic downturn the industry was one that continued to grow.
