Immigration New Zealand launches the Employer Hub

18 Jan 2012
The newly developed Employer Hub on immigration.govt.nz is there to help New Zealand businesses with immigration. As part of the Employer Hub, Immigration New Zealand has developed ‘SkillFinder’. SkillFinder is a free tool for New Zealand businesses who are struggling to fill their vacancies on shore, including positions which are on the long and short-term skill shortage lists.
SkillFinder uses Immigration New Zealand’s database of over 140,000 skilled people who have shown interest in moving to New Zealand to work. Registrants provide details of their occupation, qualifications and work experience. Immigration New Zealand can then put employers in touch with candidates in the occupation required.
But the employer hub does more than just help find suitable skilled candidates. There is visa advice and information on your obligations as an employer hiring someone from overseas and how you can help your employees settle into life in New Zealand and retain them long term. The employer hub is a great resource for employers looking to hire talent offshore or who need information and advice.
You can view the skill shortage lists here or visit the Employer Hub to find out more information.
