Entries open for the 2012 Hi-Tech Awards

13 Feb 2012

Pushing our talented kiwis into the spotlight is what the New Zealand Hi-Tech awards are all about. Established in 1993 and receiving support and input from some of New Zealand’s highly successful technology industries including ICT, electronics, software, bio-technology, creative, telecommunications and digital media, the awards are all about supporting the New Zealand hi-tech sector.

Entries for this year’s Awards are now open and all involved in this sector are encouraged to apply. Applications for all categories close on 5 March at 5pm.

MSI is a key supporter of the Hi-Tech sector in New Zealand investing more than $100 million a year into NZ technology companies. They are the proud sponsor of this year’s Best Hi-Tech Start-Up award.

This year’s awards are taking it up a notch with confirmed judges Peter Thei (famous for being one of Facebook's first investors) and New Zealand computer scientist Craig Neville Manning (who founded Google's first remote engineering centre in New York).

NZ Hi-Tech Trust Chair, Wayne Norrie, says the NZ Hi-Tech Awards are gaining increasing significance and support both locally and internationally: "Just by entering the Hi-Tech Awards you have a unique opportunity to get your business in front of some of the biggest global names in technology and that is something that money simply can't buy."
