A critical step in building a sustainable industry is the support of start-up businesses. The Clean Technology Centre was established in Kapiti to house clean tech start-ups with the long term goal of these start-ups expanding into the Otaki Clean Technology Centre Park. The Park provides physical co-location, hi-tech infrastructure and growth space for the research and commercialization of clean technology businesses.
Launched just over one month ago, the Clean Technology Centre's website is a valuable resource for Wellington's cleantech companies who need help in getting started and for potential investors to view the regional talent that the Centre houses.
The Centre, located in Otaki on the Kapiti Coast, has the capacity to house 20 of the region’s clean technology businesses. Currently housing eleven , the Centre provides an environment for the commercialisation of clean technology research.
