Award winning Tuatara is increasing its export markets, and are keen to expand even further.
Carl and Simone Vasta established the Tuatara Brewery Company in Wellington in2001. 10 years on they are selling a million litres a year, exporting to Australia and the United States and are winning award after award. What’s next? Move to a bigger location, but still in Wellington of course!
Carl is planning on moving the brewery from his Reikorangi property to Paraparaumu’s Sheffield St industrial area early next year. And with looking to export to Asia and Hong Kong he’s definitely going to need the bigger premises!
Tuatara Brewery has won an accolade of awards from Business of the Year at the 2011 Kapiti-Horowhenua Business Awards, BrewNZ’s Best Brewery 2008 – 2009, the Emerging Gold Award at the Wellington Gold Awards 2011 and they were ranked 32 in the Deloitte Fast 50 2011.
